Chocolate and Vanilla Bean Shake

Our Chocolate and Vanilla Bean Shake is cool and refreshing on hot summer days. Instead of ice cream, we use frozen bananas, nut milk and dates, then flavor this invigorating beverage with real vanilla bean and cocoa powder. Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups homemade nut milk
  • 4 dates
  • 2 frozen bananas
  • 1/2 vanilla bean*
  • 1 teaspoon cocoa powder**

Directions

  1. Place bananas, dates, vanilla bean*, homemade nut milk and cocoa powder** into a high speed blender and blend until smooth.
  2. Sprinkle with cinnamon or your favorite spice and serve.

*You may use 1/2 teaspoon of non-alcoholic pure vanilla extract in place of the vanilla bean.

**Use carob powder instead of cocoa powder for a caffeine-free version of the shake.
