Double Mustard Oven Fries
Our Double Mustard Oven Fries are a savory delight and they are easy to make too! Potato wedges are coated in a variety of dried spices and then baked until crispy and golden brown…it is as simple as that! To up the flavor, we also share a recipe for Maple Mustard Sauce, which adds a sweet and spicy element. This is the plant-based side dish you will be making time and time again!
Ingredients
Oven Fries
- 4 potatoes, cut into wedges
- 1 tablespoon mustard powder
- 1 tablespoon rosemary, dried
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Black pepper, freshly ground, to taste
Maple Mustard Sauce
- 2 tablespoons cashew butter
- 1-2 tablespoons Homemade Nut Milk or store-bought plant-based milk
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup
- Black pepper, freshly ground, to taste
Directions
- Preheat oven to 450°F and line baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Mix mustard powder, rosemary, garlic powder, red pepper flakes, and black pepper, if using. Taste and adjust seasonings as desired.
- Add potato wedges to a large bowl. Add dry seasonings and toss to coat.
- Place potatoes in a single layer on parchment paper. Bake 50 minutes, flipping halfway through and cooking until potatoes are crispy and golden brown.
- Meanwhile, prepare Maple Mustard Sauce by whisking together maple syrup, cashew butter, and mustard. Add nut milk to achieve desired consistency. Add black pepper to taste.
- Remove fries from oven and serve with Maple Mustard Sauce.
