Crispy Corn Chips

Corn tortillas and an oven—that is all you need to make wholesome corn chips in your own kitchen. This recipe lists several optional toppings too. Add one or more to ‘up the flavor’ of this healthful snack. After a short cooling period that will boost the crispiness of the chips, you can enjoy them as-is or serve them with a plant-based dip, such as our Rainbow Salsa, Homemade Hummus, Red Bell Pepper Dip, or Lentil Spread.


  • 5 corn tortillas
  • Optional toppings—e.g. savory (black pepper, cayenne powder, cayenne pepper, chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika), sweet (cinnamon, nutmeg, pumpkin/apple pie spice), non-dairy cheese (vegan parmesan)
  • COOK TIME 10
  • Serves 2


  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Slice corn tortillas into triangles.
  3. Place them on a cookie sheet making sure they are spaced apart.
  4. Sprinkle optional toppings if desired.
  5. Bake 8-12 minutes, checking every 1-2 minutes after 8 minutes and removing when edges become golden brown.
  6. Remove and cool for 5-10 minutes. Serve as-is or with a plant-based dip.
