Brazil Nut Crumble

This earthy Brazil Nut Crumble adds a nice crunch and texture to soft and smooth desserts like dairy-free yogurt, parfait, pudding, mousse, and even ice cream–plus it is gluten-free! Try it with our recipe for Passion Fruit Mousse.


  • 1/2 cup gluten free flour mix
  • 1/4 cup Brazil nuts
  • 1/4 cup maple crystals
  • 3 tablespoons nut milk
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • Pinch sea salt

  • COOK TIME 25
  • Serves 6


  1. Pre heat oven to 375ºF and line a half sheet tray with parchment paper.
  2. Place Brazil nuts on the tray and lightly toast them for 5 minutes. Remove and let them cool.
  3. Transfer Brazil nuts to a food processor and process until it becomes coarse flour.
  4. In a medium bowl, combine the gluten free flour mix, Brazil nut flour, maple crystals and salt and whisk until well combined.
  5. In a separate small bowl whisk nut milk and vanilla.
  6. Add liquid ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix them using your hand until a dough is formed.
  7. Crumble dough in small pieces onto the prepared sheet tray and bake for about 20 minutes, rotating and stirring every 5 minutes.
  8. Let it cool and process in food processor to break larger pieces. Serve over Passion Fruit Mousse.
