Homemade Nut Milk

Nut milks are super easy to make. This recipe teaches you how to make a basic nut milk with your favorite nuts like cashews or almonds. We also share some delicious variations like vanilla, vanilla lavender, and chocolate. Ingredients

  • Basic Nut Milk
  • 4 cups water
  • 1 cup nuts, soaked overnight
  • Chocolate Milk
  • 4 cups water
  • 1 cup nuts, soaked overnight
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 4 dates (optional)
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • Vanilla Milk
  • 4 cups water
  • 1 cup nuts, soaked overnight
  • 4 dates (optional)
  • 1/2 vanilla bean (or 2 teaspoons vanilla extract)
  • Vanilla Lavender Milk
  • 4 cups water
  • 1 cup nuts, soaked overnight
  • 1/2 vanilla bean (or 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract)
  • 1 teaspoon lavender
  • PREP TIME 10

  • Serves 4 cups

Directions

  1. Soak nuts in water overnight.
  2. Add ingredients into a high speed blender and blend until smooth.
  3. Pour nut milk into a nut bag or cheesecloth fabric and allow to strain. Transfer nut milk into a glass jar.
  4. Store nut milk in the fridge for up to one week. Shake and serve chilled.
