All You Need Is Love on Global Beatles Day!

On June 25, 1967, the Beatles sang “All You Need Is Love” in the first ever live global television broadcast. 400 million people watched from 26 countries via satellite. A full 42 years later, Beatle fan Faith Cohen designated June 25 as Global Beatles Day as a ‘thank you note and love letter’ to the Fab Four.

Here comes the sun
And I say
It’s alright…

The English band is widely regarded as the most influential group in rock and roll, changing global unity forever. The Beatles brought the world together in a way no one had before. Their music, art and lyrics impacted the entire globe, spreading messages of love, peace, truth, imagination, and independence.

The sun is up, the sky is blue
It’s beautiful and so are you…

According to GlobalBeatlesDay.com, the day is “not intended to be a consumerist holiday nor is this a day of “fandom.” It is about the messages that “float downstream” in the Beatles’ music and lyrics.”

It’s getting better all the time…
